In May 2002 I removed the E-Mail addresses from this website because a scam artist began using them. In the future, if you need the e-address of a shipmate, you may send e-mail to me for forwarding. Include you name, rate, and when you were aboard Whitehurst. If we have the man's e-address, I will forward your letter to him. He can then decide whether to respond to you directly.
One of the stated purposes of this site is: "To encourage communications between shipmates." E-Mail is a great tool for that purpose. It makes me angry that a thief has now made it more difficult for our shipmates to find each other. My apologies to all you Whitehurst vets who received the scam messages... max crow
